Superbus

Inspired by the style of pre-Beatles rock n' roll, Jennifer Ayache - daughter of the actress Chantal Lauby - began writing pop songs in '99 with this aesthetic in mind. After forming an all male backing band, and stumbling upon the word "superbus" in the Latin dictionary, which means proud and superior, Ayache set about creating music with commercial success as the goal. Turning more toward catchy synth pop, Superbus finally received the commercial success it sought and landed in the Top 10 on French charts.
