Ryan Power is a Burlington, Vermont-based artist who has managed to stay under pop culture's radar despite his affinity for pop melodies and his growing cult following. Since the release of his self-titled debut album in 2002, he has mastered his own folk-tinged take on pop music that exudes charm while also remaining undoubtedly off-kilter. This brand of avant-pop has earned him critical accolades and a dedicated fan base that seems to be exasperated by -- while also cherishing -- the fact that Power remains in the heart of underground music.
