Irma

Irma is a singer/songwriter from Cameroon who specializes in making minimalist folk songs that typically only feature an acoustic guitar accompanying her beautiful, heart-wrenching voice. Though the sonic levels of her music might be nominal, her songs are able to communicate a deep-rooted, humanistic empathy that's a rare find in most modern music. Now living in Paris, Irma released her debut album, Letter to the Lord, in 2010. The album helped establish her as one of the preeminent European-based folk singers of her generation.
