Stian Westerhus is a Norwegian guitarist who has built a name for himself with an nontraditional and highly experimental style. Recidving his bachelor degree in jazz from Middlesex University under the tuitalage of renowned jazz musician Stuart Hall, Westerhus would go on to earn his masters from the jazz program at Trondheim Musikkonservatorium. Westerhus released his debut album, Galore, in 2009 and the tallented guitarist was able to prove to listeners that despite avant-garde tendencies, he's still able to create some extremely listenable and provocative music.
