Mala Rodriguez

Spanish hip hop artist Maria Rodriguez, who goes by La Mala Rodriguez or simply La Mala, is known for her flamenco influenced hip hop, often filled with feminist lyrics. Initially her music retained a gritty raw edge, unusual to her genre of choice, but over time, she lost this unique edge and created polished and produced music, similar to the hip hop artists she's associated with. Gaining fame in her native country in the late 90s, Rodriguez became romantically involved with a string of influential MCs, which likely only helped her popularity. She continues to create music and has provided songs for many films.
