Danish producer/multi-instrumentalist Anders Trentemøller has been steadily building an underground following since 1997 under various pseudonyms, despite not releasing a debut album until 2004. By then, his brand of ambient, instrumental electronica had become recognizable and the album was an enormous success with critics and fans alike. Because of Trentemøller's ability to construct electronic music that sounds and feels organic, he was named the best new artist of the year by many European and American publications. Trentemøller continues to produce new and unique music, incorporating unusual techniques for the electronica genre, while touring throughout the world.
