Tayyib Ali is a rapper from Philadelphia who found his affinity for hip-hop when he was only ten years old. Like many artists who discover their aesthetics at a young age, Ali turned his hobby into his passion and quickly found himself in front of a sold-out crowd at the 2010 Kamikazz Festival in Connecticut where he opened for hip hop artists Shwayze and Super Smash Bros. A year later he returned to the same stage as a headliner, riding on the success of his first EP, Eighteen. Only eighteen years old at the time of his debut release, Ali offered a sound that incorporated mellow lounge samples and his own catchy beats with his effortless delivery. He released his follow-up record Keystone State of Mind, in 2011.
