With song titles like "One Beer a Day," "Party at the Farm" and "Redneck Rehab," one might assume that the songwriter of these tunes would hail from Texas or Tennessee or some other hotbed of American country music. That assumption would be ill founded though because the songwriter calls Norway home. Releasing his debut album, Closer to My Heart, in 2009 Steff Nevers distinguished himself as a straightforward country musician in the vein of Toby Keith or Garth Brooks, who sounds more American than most Americans do.
