Progressive rock bands nowadays are pretty damned cliche. Good thing there are bands like Swedish export Dungen to whip these lesser bands into shape. Dungen plays an extremely pertinent and experiential style of progressive rock that is actually void of virtuositically intense instrumental solos. The band was formed in 1999 and after years and years of laying low and receiving a good deal of laudation by music critics, several adept listeners are starting to tune in and discover the awesome sonic powers that Dungen posses.
