When a Canadian bike gang called The Smoking Spokes took refuge from the bitter winter season of 2004, a few members thought it would prove interesting to form a band and play music to offset the time they would typically spend riding. These rehearsals proved fruitful and soon the band was known in Vancouver as a group that would play "anything, anywhere, anytime." The band's characteristic style of dance-punk went over well with audiences during the group's formative years and soon You Say Party, formerly known as You Say Party! We Say Die!, was being asked to open up for fairly prominent bands on the Canadian leg of their tours. Though the band has been around for a while, it hasn't lost any of its flair and as the band continues to tour and release new material it will undoubtedly gain popularity outside of Canada.
