Founded in 1974, The Angels is a rock band from Adelaide, Australia. Through referals from members of AC/DC, the band landed a recording contract with Albert Music, who released its first three records starting with 1977's The Angels. The album sparked the group's insanely efficient recording schedule, which produced at least one record per year until 1988. Expanding its following with each album, the band has earned international acclaim among hard rock communities throughout North America. Though their mainstream appeal has fallen since its heyday, The Angles signed to Liberation records in the mid-2000s and has since released albums like 2012's Take It To the Streets, on the indie label.
