Diaframma

Though creating a conceptually stylized form of darkwave during the first few years after its inception, the Italian band Diaframma has since become more of a defined punk band. Formed in Florence in 1979 by songwriter Federico Fiumani, Diaframma went through two singers before Fiumani decided to take the reigns and claim vocal duties for himself. This changing of the guards also had a drastic effect on the band's music--Fiumani directed the group's sonic direction towards a more aggressive, punk-inspired sound.
