JUJU is a Japanese jazz singer born in Hiroshima. She dreamed to be a jazz singer and she went to New York alone for studying “New York Sound” when she was eighteen. In 2006, JUJU’s third single “If You Wish for a Miracle...” reached number one on the USEN chart and she began to gain attention in Japan. After that JUJU became very popular in Japan when her tenth single “If Tomorrow Comes” was downloaded the best of all other singles released in 2009. JUJU’s sound is principally categorized as j-pop, but it has flavor of jazz and R&B thanks to her study in New York.
