Spawned from the offshoots of many Brooklyn hipster bands, including the Vivian Girls, Crystal Stilts is a New York four-piece that creates surf-tinged, reverb-drenched garage pop. Though bands that make this style of music can be found on nearly every corner of Williamsburg, Crystal Stilts is a band that stands apart, if not for its originality, then for its ability to produce undeniably catchy tunes. The release of its debut full length was met with tremendous acclaim amongst indie rock connoisseurs across the country and it stayed on the college radio charts at number one for many weeks. Because the band members are all involved in other side projects, Crystal Stilts isn't the most procreative band, nor does it tour often. When the band does tour, however, it's a guarantee that it will put on a quality show.
