Before ultimately deciding to be an instrumental post-rock/experiential band, the Icelandic group For a Minor Reflection pursued a few different musical directions. The band was a blues act, an indie rock troupe and even a Pink Floyd tribute band. However, after tiring of these music styles, the group charged toward a unique sound that has since brought the Scandinavian four-piece much acclaim. The group was formed in 2005 and after releasing it's debut LP in 2007, the band was compared to other post rock bands like Explosions in the Sky and Mogwai, and after listening to the group's album, the notable Icelandic art rock outfit Sigur Ros asked For a Minor Reflection to open up for them on tour.
