Andreas Tyrone Svensson, who performs and releases music under his stage name Dregen, is a Swedish guitarist who has spent time playing with The Hellacopters and Backyard Babies. Forming the hard rock outfit Backyard Babies with his childhood friends Nicke Borg, Peder Carlsson and Johan Blomqvist in Nassjo, Sweden, the band would eventually move to Stockholm to pursue a larger listener base. Though the group achieved a period of prolonged success, starting with its 1994 debut album Diesel & Power, the band eventually broke up in 2009. Since the demise of Backyard Babies, Svensson has spent time playing with garage rock outfit The Hellacopters in addition to working on his glam-rock influenced, metal solo material.
