Kayo Dot is an experimental music group that was founded in Boston. Primarily the musical vehicle of multi-instrumentalist and chief singer/songwriter Toby Driver, Kayo Dot released its debut album, Choirs of the Eye, on avant-garde luminary Jorn Zorn's record label Tzadik Records in 2003. With a cinematic sound that blends a number of varied styles--including postmodern classical music, progressive rock, post-rock and chamber music--Kayo Dot has built a reputation for itself as a nontraditional band that's capable of making some extremely weird sounding songs.
