American Head Charge is an industrial metal band that developed a quick reputation for its violent performances upon its formation in 1997. After the band finished its first tour as part of Ozzfest 2001, its powerful crossover thrash music was largely overshadowed by the mad antics it displayed on stage--starting bloody fist fights with audience members, firing weapons on stage and throwing dead animals into the crowd. American Head Charge eventually exiled itself from the road in order to get its affairs in order, and after a hiatus from 2009 to 2011, the group returned to the show circuit, this time allowing its forward-thinking nu metal to stand at the center of attention.
