Michael Seander, who performs and releases music as Mike Stud, is a rapper from Providence, Rhode Island. A successful pitcher with minor league baseball teams, after an injury benched him, Seander would use the recovery time he had after having Tommy John surgery to use music as a creative outlet. Seander released a music video for his song "College Humor," in 2010, initially as a joke for his baseball teammates but the song and accompanying video would end up going viral. Not letting the momentum of "College Humor" die, Seander would release his debut album, A Toast to Tommy, in 2011. Having since continued to release a steady stream of LPs in addition to maintaining an active performance schedule, Seander has distinguished himself as a hip-hop musician eager to prove his worth.
