Urawa Red Diamonds usually referred to as Urawa Reds is a football club that competes in the J1 league. Based in Saitama, it plays its home fixtures at the Saitama Stadium 2002 and shares a local rivalry with Omiya Ardija. The club has many noteworthy achievements over the years including the Emperor’s Cup, J.League Cup, J1 League, AFC Champions League and a third place finish at the 2007 FIFA Club World Cup. Notable alumni include Shinji Ono, Shusaku Nishikawa and Yuki Abe.
