Newcastle United

Newcastle United F.C. is from Newcastle upon Tyne and the team is known as the ‘Magpies’ although accounts differ on how it received this moniker. Since its establishment in 1892, the team has been quite successful, where it won the First Division four times before it transformed into the Premiere League in 1992. The team also won the Second-Division three times and carried the FA Cup six different times, including back-to-back titles in 1951-52. NUFC plays its home games at St. James’ Park and has done for the entirety of its history. Today, it holds a capacity of 52,405 after many renovations over the last century.
