After Crystal Antlers emerged from Long Beach, California in 2006 with a unique sound that blended noise with art rock, people immediately started to take notice. As the noise rock movement was really starting to take off in Los Angles, around this time, it was somewhat of a breath of fresh air to hear a band that incorporated some sort of technical instrumentation into its sound - like Crystal Antlers. Though the band's sound is still far from refined, the group has carved a reputation for itself with keyboard arrangements set to harrowing vocals and lurching guitar progressions.
