Jimmie Allen creates music that can be best described as an amalgamation of R&B and country, a style that has been well-showcased in his eponymous debut EP. Prior to pursuing a career as a singer, Allen worked as a songwriter in Nashville. After signing a record deal with Broken Bow Records' Stoney Creek imprint in 2017, he released the track "Blue Jean Baby," which gained a spot on Spotify's 'United States Viral 50 chart.' His first official single, 2018's "Best Shot," became the second most-added song to radio playlists, and made it to the Hot Country Songs, Country Airplay and Billboard Hot 100 charts.
