Anat Cohen

Anat Cohen went from playing tenor saxophone in the Israeli Air Force Band to becoming one of New York's most profound female saxophonists and clarinetists. Cohen maintains a distinctly fluid vibe, transitioning from mellow Brazilian melodies reminiscent of the score from Black Orpheus, to traditional sultry jazz clarinet grooves on songs like "St. James Infirmary." Cohen is one of those musicians who is able to make you vividly envision a scene in a film that doesn't exist.
