Even though Pink gained notoriety during bubblegum pop's mainstream explosion during the late-1990s/early-2000s, she's an artist who's markedly different from many of her peers. With a fairly edgy fashion sense as well as songs with lyrics about different struggles that one must face as they progress through life, Pink has managed to prove herself as a palatable alternative to commercial friendly, main-stream pop acts.
