Britain South Wales band Brutality Will Prevail released its 2nd record Root of all Evil in 2010. BWP's slowed version of heavy metal's more typical high speeds is part of a growing trend in alternative metal where "sludge" or "slow-hell" are ways of describing metal that focuses more on ambiance and texture rather than particular riffs.
