Bjarte Hjelmeland is an actor and a popular theater personality from Bergen, Norway. Hjelmeland's lengthy list of work credits began in 1991 when he debuted in the play Lighthouse at Oslo Nye Theatre. He continued to be part of various theater productions, most notably the Cherry blossoms, in which his role as Roar Vik brought him to spotlight. Throughout his career, he has not only acted in operas, dramas and more, but has also directed multiple comedy productions including his own one-man shows. Hjelmeland has created a name for himself in other facets of entertainment as well, he has multiple albums to his name, is a movie actor and a known face on the Norwegian television.
