One of the leaders of the tropical bohemian scene in Miami is the dance pop band, Awesome New Republic, or simply, ANR. The duo makes a characteristic style of easily accessible electro-infused indie rock and has been a pivotal part of one of the Sunshine State's premier music scenes since forming in 2003. The group has released a staggering amount of studio material to mixed commercial and critical success since its inception. But despite all the releases, the band hasn't gained a reputation apart from being one of the more closely-guarded indie underground bands in the Florida scene.
