Soft Swells is the one-man indie pop project of Tim Williams, a songwriter based out of Los Angeles. Before creating his new moniker, Williams created mellow, solo folk albums under his own name in both Nashville and New York City. It's fitting that he decided to ditch the solo name with Soft Swells, as a song such as "Every Little Thing" sounds like product of a full, cohesive band. Handclaps, subtle electronic instrumentation, sparse guitar licks and blown-out drum tones combine with Williams' sunny voice and melody to form a nostalgia-heavy pop song that perfectly reflects the climate of his new home.
