Satellite is an alternative rock band based out of Los Angeles that makes a style of music that has been praised for its pop-friendly and hook-filled sound. Founded in 2010, the group channeled its energy into playing gigs around the Southern California area, establishing a regional yet substantial fan base. Though Satellite released its debut LP, Ring the Bells, in 2010, the album wasn't able to truly capture the essence of the group's sonic style. However, in 2013, when the band had some touring and recording experience under its belt, it released its sophomore effort, Calling-Birds, encapsulated a signature, innovative and forward thinking approach to pop music composition.
