Karnataka is a progressive rock band from England that was founded by musicians who never intended to release albums or perform. Simply taking joy in playing together, after the group realized the potential of its recorded material, Karnataka would eventually release its self-titled debut album in 1997. The band would go on to release additional LPs and tour regularly until 2004, when it broke up. A year later, however, in 2005, the band reformed and has since continued to release albums and perform.
