True Widow is a shoegaze/post-rock trio from Dallas, Texas that labels its peculiar heavy brand of music as "stonegaze." The three members that make up True Widow came together in 2007 in an attempt to create music that's reminiscent of an early morning walk to the market on a fog strewn farm road. Interestingly enough, this rather wordy description seems to fit the trio's music to a T. Described by critics as "pretty downer music that goes interesting places," True Widow has indeed found its niche, and to many, the band pulls off its musical aims amazingly well.
