The Faint was right at the forefront the danceable post-punk trend broke out in the early 2000s. Though still active today, three of the Omaha-based band's five members (Todd Fink, Clark Baechle and Jacob Thiele) have branched off and formed an electro-minded group known as Depressed Buttons. The punk and indie rock influences of its members' main project are nowhere to be found here. In fact, live instrumentation is pretty much entirely replaced with DJ work, synthesizers and electronic house beats. The group has been remixing tracks from electronic artists such as Boys Noize and Autoerotique, as well as performing DJ sets at small clubs and venues since 2008.
