Cruel Black Dove

New York electro-pop band Cruel Black Dove (CBD) makes music that will make you want to bounce around. However, CBD are more closely related to the grimmer sides of Portishead than they are to danceable club music. That said, the energy and rhythms of CBD's music is certainly at the tempos of a lot of house and techno. CBD have covered bands like the Stooges and the Psychedelic Furs in the their live sets, a good sign that the band isn't about to get behind turntables any time soon. The group's first release is an EP titled The Myth and the Sum.
