The Heritage Festival is held annually over the first weekend in August in William Hawrelak Park, which is right in the heart of the river valley and just to the west of the University of Alberta. You'll find sports, music, and displays, as over 60 countries display their ethnic roots and culture. During the festival, the Edmonton Transit System operates a park and ride scheme to the festival site. Where else can you experience the best of 60 countries in just one day? Admission is free.
