Seville, as well as numerous cities in the world, celebrates the Gay Pride Day on June 28 with many different activities that take place over several days. The Lesbian Gay Platform of Seville (Somos) organizes conferences, cultural visits and shows films. Of course there is also a march-demonstration in which lesbians and gays claim their rights and respect by marching through Seville. There are also some festivals, the most notable of which is the one that takes place on a boat in the Guadalquivir River. Free event.
