The center is named after the semi-legendary 6th Century poet who is considered to be Wales first bard. The Taliesin is devoted to all the arts from all over the globe. Art films, world music and dance, kid's theater and plays by young and established writers make up the program in the theater, along with conferences and workshops. The Gallery on-site, named after a prominent Welsh artist, is devoted to works by local artists and holds regular exhibitions. The gallery shop sells artists' cards, ceramics and jewelery and the center has a bar and cafe.
