ENTERTAINMENT VENUES, TOURIST ATTRACTIONS & SIGHTSEEING
The Patti Pavilion takes its name from the opera singer Dame Adelina Patti who donated the pavilion to Swansea city council in 1918. It was bodily moved from her home in the Brecon Becons to the corner of Victoria Park overlooking Swansea Bay. By the 1990s it was in a state of serious disrepair but was renovated, almost overnight, by a BBC TV show. After being persuaded to grant retrospective planning for the works, the city council were happy for this small, unusual building to be added to the city's range of arts and trade venues.
