The skilled barkeepers find the perfect mix when it comes to cocktails, and have a reputation of making the best Irish Coffee in town. It is not surprising that a lot of mostly middle-aged night owls enjoy the atmosphere of this bar as much as the guests of the house. There are many more secluded corners, in which you can withdraw, even though the bar offers room for 120 people and has a little dance floor. A lot of celebrities who visit Kiel take advantage of this set-up if they want to enjoy an undisturbed evening in the bar of the Maritim hotel.
