The first Missouri State Fair was held in 1901 in Sedalia, Missouri and since then the state fair has grown bigger and better, year after year. It is a boost to the state’s economy, agriculture, trade, art and improvement in the quality of living of the people of the community. The fair holds several small contests throughout its duration which keeps the fun and excitement going and also an interesting way to show off one's wares, cooking, livestock or handicrafts. The eleven day fair keeps visitors entertained with daily concerts, shows, exhibitions and not forgetting the typical, delicious fair food, games and fun for all ages.
