This 25-acre (10.11-hectare) island park is a wonderful interactive museum set in the times of the first English settlement in America in 1585. Featuring a 16th-century sailing ship, costumed interpreters guiding you on the journey, explaining the times how first settlers lived and worked. It offers an immersive experience where children and adults can step back in time and enjoy a show thoroughly through various performances and events organized on the site. Experiencing Roanoke Island Festival Park is a must when in town.
