Named after Catholic League Marshal Johann T'Serclaes von Tilly, Reduit Tilly is a ancient fort in Ingolstadt. This arch-shaped castle was constructed near the Danube River in the early 19th Century as a protection for the bridgehead. Its grand classicist-style architecture was the brainchild of court architect Leo von Klenze. Today, the fort forms part of the expansive Klenzepark, and is home to several historic exhibits of the Bavarian Army Museum.
