Once the residence of Duke Berthold V of Zähringen, Schloss Thun is a magnificent example of 12th-century Gothic style architecture. The castle currently serves as a museum and features a splendid collection of cultural and historical artifacts, some of which date back 4,000 years. The castle's floors have been dedicated to a different era and phase of the city's and castle's history. The rooms in the castle maintain their original decor and purpose, with the armory dedicated to the collections of weapons and bedrooms featuring exquisite works of art from yesteryears.
