Håkon's Hall

Håkon's Hall is a historic stone hall built by King Håkon Håkonsson in the mid-thirteenth century. This hall was used for hosting various royal events, as well as, meetings and courts during earlier times. The medieval charm and the architectural brilliance adds to the overall ambiance and makes visiting Håkon's Hall a must while in the city. This historic room has also served as a warehouse for Bergenhus fortress. A national cultural heritage and one of the largest medieval buildings in the country, Håkon's Hall is visited by tourists from across the globe in large numbers throughout the year.
