The Richard Wagner Museum Bayreuth (RWM) consists of Wahnfried, which was Richard Wagner's villa, as well as a garden with his tomb and that of his wife. Wilhelm Richard Wagner was a famous German director and composer, best known for his operas. This villa was built during the latter half of the 19th Century and the surrounding gardens afford a pleasurable and educational stroll. This museum preserves archives as well as memorabilia such as utensils, prints and documents that throw light on his life and compositions. One can also visit a picture library on-site.
