Halloween, Alaska

Melding organic atmospheric indie rock with electronic elements into something akin to brooding electroacoustic pop, the Minnesota-based band Halloween, Alaska gained prominence fairly quickly, after the release of its debut album in 2004. This release evidently sat well with producers of the popular television program The OC, as multiple tracks were used throughout the first two seasons of the show, garnering Halloween, Alaska the attention of critics and fans. While the four-piece may have slipped through the radar of many music connoisseurs, it has developed a devoted fan base and continues to release moody, electronic indie rock.
