Just by looking at him, you wouldn't think that Sean Tillmann (aka Har Mar Superstar) would be one to breakdance or sing sexed-up R&B jams over boombox beats onstage in his underwear--but that's exactly what he does. The frumpy and overweight but awesomely energetic singer has built a career based upon his ironic image and musical persona, but unlike many artists of his ilk, he's got the skills to justify it all. The singer has be praised by high-profile acts such as Incubus and The Strokes, and has even been tapped to pen mainstream pop songs for the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Kelly Osbourne. Though the comedy to be pulled from his over-the-top 1970s porn star meets disheveled bum antics might be a little too much for some, many appreciate the strange and subversive ways in which Tillmann presents his legitimate skills as Har Mar Superstar.
