Seapony

Olympia, Washington-based trio Seapony formed in 2010 and creates delicate dream pop with subtle jangly guitars and wispy female vocals. Forgoing a drummer, the group only utilizes a bass, a guitar and a drum machine; without drums to ground it, the band's music is more hazily ethereal than most dream pop. While the saccharine melodies of Seapony might be too sweet for some, it has found a solid following in its native Washington and signed to the Sup Pop label Hardly Art in 2011.
