My Teenage Stride is an indie pop duo from Brooklyn, New York that, despite not having a substantial claim to mainstream fame, is considered by those in the know to be one of the more respectable indie pop acts on the New York scene today. Originally established as the solo project of the duo's front man and multi-instrumentalist, Jedediah Smith, My Teenage Stride would eventually take on several instrumentalists for the recording of its third album Ears Like Golden Bats in 2007. However, Smith's propensity for having control over the instrumentation in his songs saw the band's size dwindle to only two: himself and drummer Brett Whitmoyer. Despite taking a lull in their performance and recording schedule since 2008, the two guys of My Teenage Stride have since returned to the stage in full force, much to the satisfaction of fans and critics who have been looking forward to their next release for quite some time.
