Savvy, a Chicago-based three-piece, ambitiously says it tries to combine elements of Daft Punk, King Crimson and XTC into its overall sound. But for as tough as finding a solid balance between house-driven electro funk, progressive rock and pop might sound, the group does an admirable job of pulling together its wide-ranging influences and turning them into a cohesive, danceable style that has found the trio a number of fans in the Chicago area and beyond.
